Further, the material is pulled by a packaging machine, for example, by drive rollers (not shown), with the drum 2 rotating from the edges 7 in contact with the folding lines 4. In order to ensure optimum adhesion, the strip 3 is guided around the drum 2 with a certain pretension, which is adjusted by braking a part of the strip that is guided to the drum 2. As a result, the strip 3 must lie against the drum 2, and hence the plate 5 with a certain effort. Then, the edge 6 of the plate 5 takes its position on a certain fold line 4, at the same time the outer edges of the strip 3 are supported by the elements 8, while wrinkling or folding the outer parts of the strip 3 will not be.
